Every Guardian Ventures surface has been independently tested and contains trace levels of less than 1% crystalline silica, offering a modern alternative to many traditional engineered stone products that historically contained much higher levels of crystalline silica.
Our decision to develop silica-free surfaces reflects the changing direction of the engineered stone industry. As understanding of respirable crystalline silica (RCS) has increased, the focus has shifted towards developing materials that help reduce workplace exposure while maintaining the exceptional durability, appearance and performance that customers expect from premium engineered stone surfaces.
Importantly, silica-free does not mean that safe working practices are no longer required. Guardian Ventures fully supports the latest Health and Safety Executive (HSE) guidance, and we recommend that our surfaces are always processed using appropriate water suppression, suitable respiratory protective equipment (RPE) and recognised industry best practice.
