Project No. 2 — Earthstone Misterio

This installation took place in a detached home in Poole, where the client was having a full kitchen refit. The fabricator worked closely with the kitchen installer, who prepared the cabinetry with a 32 mm HMR substrate, allowing the fabricator to apply an 8 mm Marble Finish overlay with precision.

Due to the design features, including a waterfall end and a floating shelf, some fabrication was carried out on site to achieve the required detailing and fit. The team selected Earthstone Misterio

jumbo slabs (3200 mm × 1600 mm) to reduce joins and deliver a smooth, continuous look. The subtle grey veining and soft white tone of Misterio complemented the client’s brief for a clean, contemporary finish, enhanced further by full-height splashbacks for a seamless visual flow.

Appliances and fixtures included a Franke induction hob in black, a Franke Basis SB/SD Fragranite sink in matt black, and a Franke Maris WaterHub 3-in-1 Electron 4 L tap, all chosen to tie in with the modern monochrome aesthetic.

A full-height splashback in a marble finish delivers both style and practicality. Using the same material from worktop to wall creates a seamless, high-end finish with no grout lines to trap dirt or moisture.
